Design
Design challenges students to apply practical and creative thinking skills to solve problems, explore the role of design in both historical and contemporary contexts while taking into consideration their responsibilities when making design decisions and taking action.
In designing their product/digital product (or a combination of both), students use the Design Cycle to structure their inquiry and analysis of design problems, develop and create feasible solutions and to test and evaluate their models, prototypes, products or systems.
MYP Design Cycle
Design also encourages students to think about global issues, communicate with one another in various forms, collaborate and analyze and can be used to solve problems within any aspect of life.
