Leadership

Hello Changchun American International School community! As the Head of School, I am delighted to welcome you all for another year of learning, growth, and success.

As we embark on the 2024-2025 academic year, I'm reminded of the wise words of Maya Angelou: "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." This sentiment beautifully encapsulates our school's spirit and aspiration for the year ahead. I challenge each of you to embrace this mindset - to not just survive, but to truly thrive in your academic, extracurricular, and personal pursuits.

I am thrilled to share the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2024. This group of students has demonstrated exceptional dedication, creativity, and leadership. 54% of CAIS graduates in 2024 have successfully received offers from QS World University Ranking Top 20 Universities, and 70% of our graduates have received offers from QS World University Ranking Top 30 Universities. They have not only excelled academically but have also made a positive impact in our school community and beyond. As we begin this new academic year, let us draw inspiration from the accomplishments of our alumni. Let their achievements serve as a reminder that with hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, anything is possible.

We are also looking forward to several campus improvement projects such the resurfacing of the small athletics field, the start of construction of our new early years center, and most excitingly, our amazing technology center that will provide a one-of-a-kind environment for our students to use emerging technologies.

Together, let us create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to reach for their dreams and make a difference in the world. I am confident that with our collective efforts and determination, we will make this year a truly memorable and successful one.

Welcome back, CAIS Tigers! Let's make this year one of growth, discovery, and endless possibilities.
