Accreditations
International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO)
CAIS is authorized by the IBO to deliver three IB programmes, the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). The latest Three Programme Re-authorisation Visit from the IBO was in 2018 and the new five year re-authorisation was granted for all three IB programmes in 2019.
Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
CAIS is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). CAIS met the requirements for membership by meeting CIS membership criteria and following a site visit and a Membership Report.
In the next part of the process CAIS will be formally entering a joint Accreditation process with CIS/WASC. This will initiate in a Pre-Evaluation Visit in early 2020. This will be followed by a Report and the school community will then be involved in a 12-18 month Self-Study process. After this, a Visiting CIS/WASC Accreditation Team will visit CAIS to gather evidence to substantiate that the school meets the requisite standards to gain Accreditation. Several weeks after this visit, the school will receive an Accreditation Report which will outline whether the school meets all the Accreditation standards.

In essence, CAIS aims to meet accepted international standards and norms relating to all aspects of the school.
